Claims We Handle

New Claims

If your residence, business or dwelling has sustained a loss, contact First Response Public Adjusting for a free, no-obligations consultation. We will be happy to review your situation with you and discuss if our services can be of assistance to you. It is always best to contact a public adjuster right away. There are certain guidelines spelled out in your insurance policy that need to be followed. Some of those guidelines are on a time restraint. We will make sure all of your obligations, as well as your insurance company’s obligations, are adhered to.

We represent you and only you. Your best interest is our main concern. You can rest assured knowing our background, training and experience up front. If your insurance company has an adjuster working hard for them and only them, shouldn’t you have a public adjuster working hard for you and only you?

Pending Claims

Have you received an offer and are not sure what to do? We can review what was prepared by the insurance company’s adjuster and resolve unanswered questions as well as provide important information.
For instance, did you know:
-Your policy allows for an extra 20 percent if the use of a Licensed General Contractor is reasonably necessary?
-Most estimates only include one coat of paint?
-Your policy allows for clean up at the end of a repair, along with the use of tarps and other protective measures?
-Your policy allows for the removal of furniture and other items from a room prior to work being performed?

Settled Claims

Most state laws allow claims to be re-opened for up to one year if a fair compensation was not received. If you have received your check and don’t feel that you were properly compensated, give us a call. We will review your claim and the insurance company’s scope of repairs with you at no cost. If it is determined that items were omitted, no problem. We do this all the time. We will contact your insurance company and provide them with the documentation and proof they need to make a complete payment. Our fees will only reflect the portion of the settlement that we worked on. We will not collect a fee from your original settlement.

Denied Claims

There are many circumstances where a claim was denied by an insurance company, only to later have a court, or an arbitrator, award payment for the claim. If you have a claim that was denied, we can provide you with a free consultation to see what your policy says.
If your claim was wrongfully denied, we have the tools to help. Sometimes hidden damages can easily be overlooked by an insurance adjuster. We search for those hidden damages — behind your walls, in your attic, etc.
